Swiss Football League Title Winners
The Swiss league started back in 1933. Up until the turn of the century it was dominated by the two clubs from Zurich, Grasshoppers Zurich and FC Zurich. However, in recent years the competition has been taken over by FC Basel, who are now one title ahead of Grasshoppers in the all-time list of winners.

Most Titles in the Swiss Football League
With FC Basel winning so many titles since the mid 2000's, they've now overtaken Grasshopper Club Zürich as the most successful Swiss club, with 20 victories since the Swiss football league went professional back in 1933, and eight in a row since the 2009-10 season.

As well as having claimed the second most number of Swiss league titles, Grasshopper Club Zürich has also been in the runners-up spot more than any other club, which shows you how successful the team has been over the years.
...And you've got to feel some sympathy for Young Boys of Bern - they've only won 5 titles but have been runners-up an incredible fourteen times !
