England's record at recent European Championships and World Cup tournaments has been something of a debacle, to say the least. For some bizarre reason, we (the fans) don't ever seem to learn, and expectations with the national team never seem to diminish going into tournaments. so the Goalhanger decided to have a look at what the realistic prospects were going into each tournament, and if they were met, exceeded, or fell horribly short.
